This is the last of 12 weeks doing the Artists Way. I did the exercise about 12 years ago and honestly, I do not remember the last few weeks. It makes me think I did not do them. There is a lot of positive energy in the sense of completion. And there are subtle shifts. I am in the process of making big changes, but fear paralyzes me and the changes are slow. Due to the fact that one of my two cohorts is not able to make our last sacred circle, we pushed it back a week. I challenged the group keep up the exercise for one more week. Another artists date, 7 days of writing pages and another 10 tasks. I'm hoping this extra week will give me the boost I need to stop procrastinating and just do shit already.
Wish me luck.
In the meantime, here's what I'm thankful for right now, today:
1. lots of work
2. regular yoga students
3. the setting of protocol and operations at the restaurant
4. time to do my laundry afterwork tonight (and accessibility to a machine)
5. friends to share drinks and stories.

Saturday night and feeling...okay.
I wish I could say 'all right,' but it's just not happening. I had a head ache all day, but lucky when I got home from work, it went away as I watched the So You Think You Can Dance result show. I think I will take a bath, and get into bed and write my Artists Way pages.
I hope if I go to sleep early, I can get up refreshed around 8AM, write my MORNING pages and head to Berkeley for a little breakfast before work at Phil's.
Tomorrow starts my week of nurturing myself EACH day. What I've challenged myself to do is:
Sunday: reflexology
Monday: go to the movies
Tuesday: treat myself to breakfast
Wednesday: take a yoga class
Thursday: have a fun cocktail
Friday: Go to a museum
Saturday: horseback riding!
I am super excited.
In fact, here's what I'm grateful for:
1. understanding Phil's customers
2. sunny days
3. podcasts on my itouch
4. grateful hip hop students at Berkeley Rep
5. a confirmed new cabaret date

Tuesday Gratitudes!
Wow, the previous post makes me look like a total lush. I guess that's what you get when you blog tipsy! Here are a few things I learned over the weekend followed by a bit of gratitude.
1. Most drivers in traffic school think they were framed and that they are better than average drivers
2. Mrs. Winchester (of rifle fame) was utterly crazy
3. I really missed swimming
4. Sometimes is not fun or advantageous to be teachers pet
5. Marisco's really does have the best seafood
And what I'm thankful for:
1. Fresh lemons
2. Close proximity of Phil's to Berkeley Rep - super easy to run (literally!) from one to the other today
3. Nice and understanding restaurant customers
4. Easy public transport
5. Time to nap!

Lemons to lemonade
So I am currently down in San Jose doing traffic school. Yes, I am in the process of dealing with some bad karma - or 3 parking tickets. For 2 I am doing community service and the third, I have opted for second level traffic school. I have not slept very much, so I am exhausted and after a drink by the Moorpark Hotel pool, followed by a sake at the sushi place across the street, I am wiped. Yeah, that and sitting for 6 hours at traffic school. There is so much I have to say, but with a belly full of sushi and a candy bar to boot, I'm done.
I hoped to hit the hot tub before bed, but I don't think so. Now, if only the ladies at the pool bar would shut the hell up. I may have to close the window and turn on the air.
But not to be a complete negative nelly...
Here are some gratitudes:
1. kind fellow diners at the sushi place who shared a yummy roll with me
2. dining with a fellow traffic schooler for lunch
3. the fact that I am not homeless - San Jose (like the rest of the Bay Area) is a haven for the homeless
4. easy drives with no traffic - in this case down to San Jose from Oakland
5. Happy Hour at the hotel!
