So in my post 10 DAYS AGO I promised more "tomorrow." Well, that didn't happen. I got busy working and prepping for my cabaret and hosting my parents and then Tony and Chloe and I just ran out of steam - and time.
But there is lots to say. Or at least lots going on in my head. I just don't think I need to say it, nor believe anyone is listening or needs to hear it.
So what I need is listing my gratitude. To make me thankful of each and every day - whether I share it with the world or not.
1. my itouch podcasts
2. a friendly, effective staff at the restaurant tonight
3. physical therapy
4. good friends and good dim sum
5. walking in the sunshine
6. my yoga practice through teaching

Just three things
So I really hate that I have not been able to blog a post longer than mentioning my what I'm grateful for today, but that's what it is. I have been working hard at Phil's, teaching classes for Berkeley Rep and Marin Theatre Co., getting my cabaret ready and looking for other work. I can barely keep my eyes open. I am ready to watch a movie, but since the Daily Challenge (which I have not been doing on a daily basis) is sharing three gratitudes today, I thought heck I can totally do that one.
So, here I go:
1. people who appreciate my humor
2. BART and its clear schedule
3. Phil's milkshakes
I promise more tomorrow.

Quick appreciation!
Working at Phil's Sliders, there are 3 great workers who are in town for the summer from Ireland. One of them, Ashling has grown accustomed to the American way of thanking everyone and telling us how she appreciates us. All the time.
It's gotten to be a little joke, but it is interesting how we in American feel the need to thank others. I know that we are trained as young'uns to say your pleases and thank you, but it's a little much. At least I notice that I say it all the time.
I am certainly thankful for many things and certainly need to recognize those that assist, but it loses it's meaning when over used.
That being said, here are my 5 meaningful gratitudes:
1. my regular yoga students who come most of the week
2. kitties who keep me warm - this overshadowed by my cats who are either pooping or vomiting. It's not pretty, y'all
3. milkshakes!
4. a great assistant at BRT Summer Intensive
5. a clean bathroom and soon to be clean kitchen

Return of the Gratitudes!
Well, there goes my plan to beat the number of posts from 2008. I mean, I guess I could still make it if I posted every day. Now that I'm done with the Artists Way, I guess I could bring the daily blog posts back. I am super tired these days and I am far behind on a ton of personal things. Largely cleaning and laundry.
But I still need to be thankful for the kindness around me.
Here's what I'm thankful for:
1. people who take a moment to look me in the eye and smile
2. the woman at the crosswalk to gave me a thumbs up after seeing the flower in my hair
3. spending time at the Ferry Building this morning staring at the Bay Bridge
4. fresh oysters
5. wine!
