Tuesday musings

As I stuff my pie hole with eggs, spinach and left over risotto, I ponder what has occurred in the last week. My schedule is crazy, but I did find time this weekend to head into San Fransisco with Tony and avoid a bar fight. I have to say that I have never been privy to a bar brawl, but I am very happy that no punches were made.

After Orpheus X on Saturday night, Tony and I left Davis, headed west. South west to be exact. We pulled into the city at 11:30 and even without a nap, I was raring to go. We met Tony's friends Meena, John and Liz at a dive bar called Zeitgeist. They were nice and intoxicated and back by the pool table. I should have known something was not right when Liz started erasing some of the names off the chalkboard -- the order of pool players, but I chucked it up to drunkeness.

The guy, Scott who was playing, moved around the table and would have jabbed us with his cue to make a shot if we didn't move out of his way. No "excuse me's" no friendly exchanges, just this jarring dance of him taking us a shot and us not getting hit with his cue. What an ass. I finally said "oh excuse me" in my most sarcastic tone, but there was no response. I decided to just move out of the way.

This game finished with this evil character getting beat by this other dude, Chris. Upon Chris' exit he gave the table to us, since it was technically "open." This made Scott enraged and eventually one of the bouncers came over and intervened. Scott wound up playing our buddy John, but kept smacking his cue on the bench next to me and grumbling under his breath. I have to admit that Scott was an excellent player. He did win the game, yelled "fuck you" and flipped off John as he stormed out. I believe we played a few more rounds before we headed out.

Pie Hole, Chuck, evil characters...I wonder when Pushing Daisies will have a new episode. I miss that show.
