A Coinkydink

I love when random things in my life overlap. Where two people I know actually know each other, for example. Last night after I got home from WSW I got into bed with The Dada Seminars. I read part of the chapter on Zurich and it saddened me to realize that my reading comprehension is for crap when I looked on my notepad to find notes from a few weeks ago from the same chapter. At least they were not the SAME notes, but from different pages. It's amazing how different readings spark different ideas. And that I really don't remember reading the chapter before. To give myself some credit, I have been reading A LOT about the history and origin of Dada, so while I didn't remember reading this PARTICULAR chapter, the information was not foreign.

I have been paying attention to other people who inspired the Dadaists, so I can do additional research or start passing off assignments. I have also been looking for all performative elements. Tristan Tzara really liked the work of Guillaume Apollinaire and his "visual poems." That sounded interesting so I wrote it down on my dedicated Dada legal pad.

This morning as I ate my scallop scramble on whole wheat tortilla, I read my blogs and came across this.

It made me happy.
